The 2022 UW ESS Honors and Awards Ceremony, hosted by ESS Chair Eric Steig.
The 2022 UW Dept of Earth and Space Sciences Honors and Awards Ceremony was held on Friday, May 12 at 3:30 PM in JHN-102, hosted by ESS Chair Eric Steig. There were numerous honors, awards, and scholarships given during this ceremony before adjourning to a reception in the Johnson Hall Courtyard.
The major awards from the 2022 ceremony are :

- Undergraduate Student Douglas Merrill Prize for Excellence : Amanda Jackson
- Graduate Student Howard Coombs Excellence in Teaching Award : Lindsey Davidge
- Graduate Student David A. Johnston Prize for Research Excellence : Jessica Badgeley
- Graduate Student David A. Johnston Prize for Research Excellence : Gemma O’Connor
- Bassett Teaching Excellence Award : Juliet Crider
- Barksdale Service Award : Taryn Black
